1. Start With Your Process Requirements

Before comparing models, write down these points:

• Required circulation flow (T/h) for each unit and for the whole system.
• Cooling medium: plain water, a process solution, or oil.
• Fluid cleanliness: does the circulating fluid have to stay free of contamination from air and spray water?
• Cooling range: the temperature difference between fluid entering and leaving the tower.
• Equipment being cooled: molds, motors, compressors, condensers, hydraulic stations, and so on.
• Site conditions: available water, whether water discharge is restricted, and installation space.

These answers tell you whether a closed circuit design is needed at all, or whether a conventional open cooling tower would be enough.

2. Published Specifications to Check

If your flow requirement falls outside 25–500 T/h per single room, or your medium is not on this list, ask for an engineering confirmation before you go further. Do not assume the unit is compatible.

3. How the Closed Design Affects Selection

According to the product description, the process fluid circulates in closed tubes. Water sprayed onto the outside of the tubes forms a thin film. As that film evaporates, it carries heat away from the tube surface. The top-mounted axial fan pulls the humid air upward and creates a negative-pressure zone beneath it, which speeds up evaporation on the tubes. Before the air is discharged, a mist eliminator removes entrained water droplets.

In practice, this means:

• The process fluid does not come into contact with outside air, so its quality stays stable. The manufacturer describes the circulating water as not polluted.
• The design suits fluids other than water, such as quenching liquid and hydraulic oil.
• Cooling still depends on evaporating spray water, so you still need a spray-water supply.

4. Typical Uses

The manufacturer lists these uses for its closed circuit cooling tower:

• Circulating water for reactors and condensers in the chemical industry
• Industrial solutions such as quenching and electroplating solutions
• Metal die-casting molds, injection molds and other large molds
• Air-conditioning cooling, refrigeration and the plastics/chemical industry
• Large motors, diesel engines, rectification equipment, electric welding equipment, hydraulic stations and continuous casting equipment
• Media that need closed recirculation, or that would pollute the environment if exposed
• Media with a large cooling range

If your process matches one of these, the closed circuit design is a reasonable candidate.

5. Operating Benefits Claimed by the Manufacturer

The product page lists these advantages over an open cooling tower:

• About 50% less water use and 50% less sewage
• About 10% less electricity use
• Constant cooling water temperature
• Simple, low-cost maintenance
• Anti-clogging and anti-corrosion design

These are the manufacturer's published comparison figures, not results of independent testing. The real savings depend on your load, climate and operating conditions. If water or energy savings drive your purchase, ask for calculations based on your project data.

6. When a Closed Circuit Tower May Not Be the Right Choice

If you cool plain water and the process can tolerate open contact between the water and air, an open evaporative tower may be enough. One example from the same company is the Circular Cooling Tower, which lists pure water as its cooling medium. It uses FRP construction, PVC or PP fill and a counterflow induced-draft design. Its warm water is sprayed directly over the fill and collected in a cold water basin for recirculation. That is a different principle from the sealed coil of a closed circuit cooling tower.

A closed circuit unit is the stronger candidate when:

• the medium is quenching liquid, hydraulic oil or another process fluid
• fluid cleanliness directly affects equipment such as molds, hydraulic systems or condensers
• water use or sewage discharge is restricted

7. Cost, Lead Time and Compliance

The published materials do not give a closed circuit cooling tower cost, delivery time or certification details. To get a quotation, send the manufacturer your flow rate, medium, inlet and outlet temperatures, site conditions and any local compliance requirements. Confirm the answers in writing.
